| Meet Penny
 I am a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, a Reiki Master, a spiritual minister with a Doctorate of Divinity and an advanced energy practitioner. I have been a nurse since 1968. The first 20 years of my career I worked in critical care as a clinical nurse and in administrative nursing roles. The next 7 years I worked in home care, fulfilling various roles including program development and administration. As a student of energy work it became clear to me that traditional allopathic medicine was too focused on the body as a separate entity and too focused on illness and disease that needed to be medicated or cut open and removed our treated with noxious chemicals and often didn't utilize the ability of the body to heal itself when properly supported. The science of nursing had made great strides, the art of nursing was being lost.
In searching for a more holistic approach to health care, I owned a company marketing skin care and nutritional supplement products, worked as a nutritional and wellness consultant, developed a Reiki (ray key) practice, became a Reiki Master, and was ordained as a spiritual minister. I continued to study energy, how it works in the body, how to alter patterns, how to remove incongruent energy, and promote wellness in the body on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level. As I studied and refined my own energy, I was able to develop techniques to assist others in clearing and evolving energetically as well. I assist others to do deep clearing work that is transformative. This work can help you create a life of improved physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. However, you do not need to be a spiritual person or interested in spirtuality for this modality to work for you.
I have also noticed that rituals, as a way of marking transitions and allowing community acknowledgement and support, is missing in our society. I attended a friend's daughter's bat mitzvah and was touched by the community acknowledgement and support of her coming of age and entering adulthood and wished that a ritual like bat mitzvah had been available for my daughter. Even weddings and funerals, the main rituals or ceremonies in our society, too many times become about the event rather than the ceremony and ritual underlying the event. There are many life transitions that can be marked and supported by ritual and part of my mission is to provide those ceremonies for others.
I have participated in numerous classes, workshops, and other trainings and I have completed many programs involving advanced studies which included certification as a minister and a Doctorate of Divinity from the metaphysical church The Order of the Ascended Rose (O.A.R.). In 2008 I was appointed Dean of the Minister's program and became a Bishop (on staff at O.A.R.) as the Director of Women's Studies. I have been trained as a facilitator and I have taught/facilitated classes and workshops at O.A.R. I recently relocated to Oregon so  I am no longer on staff with O.A.R. I continue to teach classes and workshops incorporating what I have learned there and elsewhere. I continue to learn and grow through my association with O.A.R. and other venues and this in turn keeps my energy work with clients fresh and constantly evolving to new levels. It is my joy and honor to midwife the process of energetic transformation for those who are interested in becoming the true essence of all they can be. The world will be transformed as we are individually transformed, as we become at peace with ourselves we become at peace with others. As we are enlightened the world is enlightened.
